Happy Veteran’s Day!
Thank you to all those Veterans, past and present, who have served and those who currently serve in our military! We appreciate your sacrifices! Sacrifices of time with your family and friends. To the many who have given the ultimate sacrifice of life, you are never forgotten! You are all amazing people!
Thank you to everyone for their support of CrossFit Mayhem and for Rich, Dan, and the Team!
SHIRTS: We hope to have the shirts from the Games (the tanks too) ready for purchase on the online store as soon as possible! For those who placed orders already, we are going to be working on these this week. We just have a couple volunteers so we do what we can, but we will do our best to get all these filled and to you as quickly as we can.
WORKOUT: Sorry about not having a workout up yesterday or today… had a little glitch. I am posting today’s workout below for now.
- 2007 -
5 Rounds of:
7 Push Jerks (135/85)
We truly appreciate all the support we have received from those all over buying our shirts. You can still buy shirts, but since we are going to California to compete in and cheer on our team and individuals we will be out of the gym and unable to ship items purchased until we get back. We will be back mid-week next week.
Off we go to the CrossFit Games to watch some awesome competitors from around the world and of all different ages and backgrounds! The CrossFit Community is AMAZING!
Thanks again for you support!
WHEN? This Saturday, July 6th from 9am-noon we will be hosting the CrossFit for Hope workout at CrossFit Mayhem.
HOW MUCH? $10 donation for members, $5 for kids and the $20 drop-in fee for visitors will all be donated to Hope for Cures.
WHAT IS THIS ABOUT? Come out and support Hope for Cures! 100 percent of the donations go directly from Hope for Cures to chosen organizations on the front lines of catastrophic childrens’ illnesses.
Learn more about CrossFit for Hope and Hope for Cures.
WHAT IS THE WORKOUT?
The CF for Hope workout is as follows.
3 Rounds of:
Power Snatch, 75#
Box Jumps, 24″
“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for a good score. One point is given for each rep.
It’s not just for CrossFitters! We will have the prescribed option as above, as well as a scaled option for kids, teens, and others who would just like to try it.
